My First Flight to Asia: Two Days, Four Airports, One Dream
This photo was taken during my first trip to Asia — a journey that tested my heart before it ever tested my feet on the ground.
I left home with a heavy heart. Saying goodbye to my family wasn't easy, not knowing exactly when I'd see them again. That kind of goodbye stays with you through every hour of travel. But alongside that heaviness was something just as strong — ambition. I wasn't just leaving home; I was stepping toward dreams I was determined to turn into something real, something that would make my family proud.
The trip took two full days. It started at Douala International Airport in Cameroon, then on to Addis Ababa International Airport in Ethiopia, followed by a stop at Bangkok International Airport in Thailand, before finally landing at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane, Laos. Three continents, four airports, two days in transit — and a thousand thoughts running through my mind the entire way.
This photo captures a moment somewhere in that journey — tired, reflective, and still holding on to hope. Looking back now, I can see it clearly: that heaviness and that ambition were never in conflict. They were traveling together, the whole way, pushing me forward into a chapter of life I couldn't have fully imagined until I landed.
